Chicago Defeats Lima, Rapid City Beats Crunch | The Week That Was 12/31
Chicago Wins 27-1 Against Lima:
The Chicago Mustangs came out strong Saturday night, with a 27-1 win over the Ohio Extreme. Chicago’s scoring was spread across multiple players including Nestor Dominguez, Luis Batalla, Alejandro Morales, and others contributing to the team's impressive victory.
The Ohio Extreme scored one goal by Seth Hertenstein, but it was not enough to overcome the overwhelming offensive performance of the Chicago Mustangs.
Rapid City Defeats Cleveland 6-2:
Sunday’s match had fans on the edge of their seats. After a nearly scoreless first half, Crunch captain and Defender Dave Jordan found the back of the net with seconds left in the second, to put the Crunch up 1-0 at halftime.
But Rapid City came out strong in the third quarter, finding the back of the net 3 times with goals from Elmedin Zukic and Chris Mendez. Admir Suljevic for the Crunch scored off a free kick to put the score at 3-2, but it wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, the Crunch's efforts were eclipsed as Rapid City's players Anthony Bowie, Zukic and Giuseppe Barone scored three more goals, securing a 6-2 lead.
