Grand Rapids Extends Their Winning Streak to Five

Cincinnati, Ohio – On Sunday, March 12th, 2023, Rapid City Football Club (RCFC) claimed victory and defeated the Cincinnati Swerve in their final road game before the MLIS Playoffs. Rapid City won the match by a final score of 13-5. This win brings RCFC one step closer to securing the Eastern Division title. Rapid City will close out the regular season with two more home matches on March 17 and March 19 at MSA Sports Spot in Kentwood. RCFC will face Cincinnati Swerve (3/17) and Detroit Waza Flo (3/19).

Head Coach Louis Stephens III spoke on the mental approach to late season matches. “Road trips are great because you are able to measure your team’s focus and hunger," Stephens said. "Being away from your family and friends takes sacrifice. But we came together for one common goal, and we won’t stop until we reach it.” 

Co-Owner and Chairman Devon Joslin had very few words this weekend about the road win and looming playoffs. "No win is given in sports," Joslin said. "It is earned. Championship teams don't just set goals; they hunt them down. Here we come."
