MAJOR LEAGUE INDOOR SOCCER ANNOUNCES $50K WINNER'S PURSE FOR 2024-25 SEASON

Chicago, Illinois, May 9, 2024 - The Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) announced today that it will award a $25,000 prize for each of its men's and women's division championship winners, totaling $50,000 for the 2024-2025 season*.

The MLIS was established in 2021 as a men’s league, but announced its expansion into womens earlier this year.

Since the MLIS’ announcement in March to expand to include women's, it has welcomed Kalamazoo, Michigan (Zoo City FC), Colorado (Colorado Bucks SC), who operate in the men's and women's divisions, and Fort Wayne, Indiana (Summit City United), who will also operate in the men's and women's divisions.

MLIS Commissioner Dominic Turcotte expressed enthusiasm for the league's growth and future prospects.

"We're thrilled to announce a $50,000 winner's purse, evenly split between the men's and women's divisions,” he says. “This milestone reflects our commitment to equality and the advancement of indoor soccer. With the addition of new teams across the U.S., we're witnessing unprecedented growth. This expansion not only enhances competition but also creates new opportunities for players and coaches.”
