Major League Indoor Soccer Women's Division Welcomes Fort Wayne, Indiana's Summit City United
April 25, 2024 - Following the announcement of expanding the Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) to include a women’s division in early March, the league has since welcomed Kalamazoo, Michigan (Zoo City FC), Colorado (Colorado Bucks SC) who operates in the men's and women's division, and now, Fort Wayne, Indiana (Summit City United) who will also be operating both in the men's and women's MLIS divisions.
Mohamad Azhar, owner of Elevate Pulse LLC, who bought Fox United and renamed it to Summit City United, expressed his enthusiasm for the league's growth.
“We are excited to grow with the league that is truly about growing the teams in the competition,” he says.
The organization is hosting an upcoming tournament May 18 at 1807 E California Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. The tournament promises exciting competition, with a $2,500 prize for the champions and $800 for the runners-up. To enter the tournament, there is a $500 entry fee.
Azhar also mentioned that the Summit City United mens and womens teams will play their home games at the same field the tournament is being held, and that information on tryouts will be announced at a later date.
