Chicago, Ill. — November 17, 2025 — Match Week One in Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) kicked off with four competitive matchups across the league.
Utah Uprising FC (Salt Lake City, Utah) traveled to Orlando for back-to-back games against Atletico Pro FC (Orlando, Fla.), with Orlando securing victories in both matches.
Rockford Thunder (Rockford, Ill.) faced off against the Chicago Mustangs (Chicago, Ill.), with Rockford coming out on top.
Red Cedar FC (Lansing, Mich.) took on Summit City United (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and earned the win.

UTAH VS. ORLANDO – SATURDAY RECAP
Orlando opened its season with an 8–5 win over Salt Lake City in a fast-paced matchup on Saturday night. After a high-scoring first quarter, Orlando pulled away in the third, netting three unanswered goals to take control of the game. Salt Lake City’s Leonardo Sobreira kept his team within reach with a three-goal performance. Jasson Leon of Orlando stood out with 18 saves on 23 shots to earn First Star honors.
UTAH VS. ORLANDO – SUNDAY RECAP
In Sunday’s rematch, Orlando completed the weekend sweep with a 7–4 victory, powered by a four-goal performance from Raphael Tobias. Salt Lake City jumped out to a 3–1 first-quarter lead, but Orlando chipped away and took over in the second half, scoring five unanswered goals to close the match.
ROCKFORD VS. CHICAGO – SATURDAY RECAP
Chicago powered to a 13–8 victory over Rockford on Saturday, starting fast with a four-goal opening quarter. Rockford mounted pressure in the second half—cutting the deficit to 5–4 and later 6–5—but Chicago responded each time, ultimately pulling away with a six-goal fourth quarter. Gabriel Jurado fueled Chicago’s early surge with a hat-trick, while Eduardo Nava added three goals of his own, including a late penalty kick.
FT. WAYNE VS. LANSING – SATURDAY RECAP
Lansing dominated from start to finish in a 12–6 win over Ft. Wayne, controlling the match with consistent scoring across all four quarters. After jumping out to a 2–0 first-quarter lead, Lansing extended its advantage with a strong second period and exploded for five goals in the third to put the game out of reach.
Ft. Wayne found late offense with four fourth-quarter goals, including a penalty kick from Roshan Gurung, but Lansing’s early pressure and depth secured them the opening-week victory.
