MLIS SEASON 2 KICKS OFF DECEMBER 16 WITH MATCH UP BETWEEN OMAHA KINGS AND COLORADO BUCKS

We are just one week away from the start of the second Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) season, and fans can anticipate a total of six MLIS games in December. The action begins at 8:00 PM MST on Saturday, Dec. 16, in Denver, Colo., where the Omaha Kings will face off against the Colorado Bucks.

Returning to the league this year are the Omaha Kings, Cleveland Crunch and Rapid City FC, joined by newcomers Colorado Bucks and Ohio Extreme.

The Omaha Kings are returning fresh off of a successful 2022-23 season where they finished first in the Central Division and secured a spot in the league’s championship match, but fell short to Rapid City FC. Returning with the Kings is MLIS’ League MVP Manuel Lira, who will surely be one to watch as he ended last season with 52 points and 30 goals.

Rapid City FC, the reigning MLIS champions, finished first in the Eastern Division with a record of 10-2 last year. The team is fully stacked with the re-signing of 15 players and the addition of four new talents.

Excitement will continue at 11:00 AM CST on Dec. 23 when the Chicago Mustangs hit the road to face the Omaha Kings. Mark your calendars for the remaining three games in December: Dec. 29 and Dec. 30 (Colorado Bucks vs. Omaha) and Dec. 31 (Ohio Extreme vs. Grand Rapids). In the previous season, Chicago finished second in the Central Division behind Omaha, with a record of 9-3.

Following the New Year, the remaining MLIS games will unfold. All six teams are set to play in December, except for the Cleveland Crunch, whose season kicks off in Grand Rapids on January 7.

The Crunch, back for its fourth season, is gearing up for action. The team is expected to bring back its full roster, featuring talented new players and a new Head Coach.
