Panathinaikos Chicago Joins Major League Indoor Soccer for the 2024-25 Season

CHICAGO, Ill. (November 2024) – Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) announced today the addition of Panathinaikos Chicago (PAO Chicago) to its roster for the 2024-25 season, marking another exciting expansion into the Midwest. 

Denny Chronopoulos, PAO Chicago owner, expressed his enthusiasm for joining MLIS, stating, “Moving into the MLIS aligns perfectly with our vision of broadening our reach and showcasing Panathinaikos Chicago’s talent. By competing in a high-quality professional indoor league, we can maintain our commitment to excellence and offer our players opportunities for competitive play, which strengthens our club’s reputation nationally.”

The team’s immediate focus is to establish a competitive presence in MLIS, adapting quickly to the league’s dynamics and delivering strong performances. “We aim to build a legacy within indoor soccer, enhance player development, increase fan engagement, and consistently compete for championships,” Chronopoulos added.

The team will play its home matches at the Grand Sports Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill., the same home field as the Chicago Mustangs.
