RAPID CITY WINS BACK-TO-BACK MATCHES: THE WEEK THAT WAS 3/31

The final regular season matches of the 2023-24 MLIS season featured clashes between Grand Rapids and Lima, followed by Grand Rapids and Cleveland.

In Grand Rapids, Rapid City FC faced off against Ohio Extreme on Saturday, securing a win and advancing to a 6-4 record before their Sunday encounter with Cleveland.

Sunday's match between Grand Rapids and Cleveland marked the end of the 2023-24 MLIS regular season. Rapid City came out strong, establishing a 5-0 lead early on.

Despite Cleveland's efforts, the halftime score stood at 7-2 in favor of Rapid City. The second half saw Rapid City adding five more goals, while Cleveland managed to score only one, resulting in a final score of 12-3. Rapid City's victory brought their record to 7-4, securing them fourth place in the MLIS League standings. Cleveland maintained their top spot with a record of 9-3.

This encounter marked the fourth meeting between Cleveland and Rapid City, resulting in a 2-2 tie in their matchups.

The final four will head to Omaha, NE, to battle it out April 12-14, 2024.
