THE WEEK THAT WAS 11/30: Salt Lake City, Cleveland, Orlando and Las Vegas Secure Wins
Match week four in the Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) saw five matchups, with three on Saturday and two on Sunday.
Cleveland Crunch vs. Lansing Red Cedar FC - Dec. 6
Cleveland came out strong in its season debut, scoring five goals in each of the first three quarters before closing out a 17–6 victory over Lansing. Admir Suljevic led the way with multiple goals including penalty conversions, while Michael Derezic and Gabriel Pewu each contributed a hat trick.
Las Vegas Turf Monsters vs. Orlando Atletico Pro - Dec. 6
Orlando led the way early with three goals in the first and second quarters to bring them to a 6-1 lead at halftime. Las Vegas rallied in the second half, cutting the deficit to 6–5, but late strikes from Guilherme Dos Santos and goalkeeper Jasson Leon sealed an 8–5 victory for Orlando.
Las Vegas Turf Monsters vs. Orlando Atletico Pro - Dec. 7
On Sunday, Las Vegas edged Orlando in overtime, pulling out a 5–4 win. Maycon Franca opened the scoring for Las Vegas with a penalty kick and later delivered the golden goal in OT, while Javier Paredes, Alexandre Teixeira and Juan Alvarenga added key tallies.
Salt Lake City Utah Uprising vs. Dallas CD La Cuadra - Dec. 6 and Dec. 7
Salt Lake City traveled to Dallas to take on CD La Cuadra in back-to-back weekend matches. Salt Lake City came out on top with a 16-5 win Saturday night and a 12-6 win Sunday.
