The Week That Was 12/14: Lansing, Cleveland and Amarillo Secure Wins

Chicago, Illinois - Dec. 22, 2025 - This week resulted in wins for the Cleveland Crunch, reigning champs Amarillo Bombers and Lansing Red Cedar FC.

Below are game recaps from around the league including scoring summaries and shot totals. 

Cleveland Crunch vs. Ft. Wayne Summit City Sentinels:

Cleveland defeated Ft. Wayne 18-2 on Saturday night. Cleveland scored four goals in the first quarter and five in the second to take a 9-0 lead at halftime, while holding a 21-12 advantage in shots through the first two periods. Admir Suljevic scored four first-half goals, including a penalty shot, with Michael Derezic and Omar Najjar also scoring for Cleveland.

Ft. Wayne scored once in the third quarter and once in the fourth, while Cleveland added nine goals in the second half. Suljevic finished with six goals. Najjar scored three times, and Brenden Swann and Landon Kuhn each recorded two goals. Cleveland finished the match with a 35-26 edge in shots.

Rockford Thunder vs. Lansing Red Cedar FC:

Lansing defeated Rockford 9-5 on Saturday night. Lansing scored three times in the first quarter and added another goal in the second to take a 4-1 lead at halftime. Cody Granville and Victor Viana each scored in the opening period, while Rockford’s lone first-half goal came from Emanuel Mercado. Lansing held a 11-5 advantage in shots through two quarters.

Both teams scored once early in the third quarter before Lansing added three goals to extend the lead to 7-2 entering the fourth. Aidan Bagley scored three times for Lansing, including two goals in the third quarter. Rockford scored three late goals in the fourth while using an extra attacker, but Lansing added two more to maintain the margin. Lansing finished with a 21-19 edge in shots.

Boulder United vs. Amarillo Bombers

Amarillo defeated Boulder 6-3 on Sunday afternoon. The teams were tied 1-1 after the first quarter before Boulder took a 2-1 lead early in the second. Amarillo tied the match late in the third and took a 3-2 lead before the end of the period. Amarillo outshot Boulder 31-13 through three quarters.

Amarillo added three goals in the fourth quarter to extend the lead. Carlos Hernandez scored three goals for Amarillo, while Emanuel Celaya added one. Boulder’s goals came from Jovany Herrera, Luis Reyes and Darwin Leiva. Amarillo finished with a 38-17 advantage in shots.
