WOMEN'S MAJOR LEAGUE INDOOR SOCCER ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL 2024-25 SEASON SCHEDULE
Chicago, Ill. – The Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer (WMLIS) has officially released its 2024-25 season schedule, marking the league's inaugural season. The WMLIS will feature four teams: the Chicago Mustangs (Chicago, Ill.), Zoo City FC (Kalamazoo, Mich.), Panathinaikos Chicago (Chicago, Ill.) and Summit City United (Fort Wayne, Ind.).
Each team will play a six-game regular season, with every team facing one another both home and away. The top two teams after the regular season will advance to a one-game final in April to crown the first-ever WMLIS champion. The location of the championship game will be announced soon.
The inaugural game of the WMLIS season will take place on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, as Zoo City FC hosts Summit City United. Opening weekend continues on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, with the Chicago Mustangs hosting Panathinaikos Chicago.
This announcement follows the recent release of the 2024-25 schedule for the Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) men’s division. The MLIS men’s division includes teams such as the Cleveland Crunch (Cleveland, Ohio), Chicago Mustangs (Chicago, Ill.), Colorado Bucks (Denver, Colo.), Panathinaikos Chicago (Chicago, Ill.), Red Cedar FC (Lansing, Mich.), Omaha Kings (Omaha, Neb.), Amarillo Bombers (Amarillo, Texas), Canadian Crusaders (Toronto, Canada) and Summit City United (Fort Wayne, Ind.).
